Wondering what to do with the green onions we grew from onion stumps earlier this winter? Freeze them!
- Chop green onions to desired size.
- Soak/Rinse stumps in water to remove dirt and prepare to be replanted.
- Put chopped onions into an empty water bottle & freeze OR put into an ice cube tray with a little olive oil & freeze in portioned cubes for cooking.
Now you’re ready to regrow more FREE produce & you’ve stored fresh green onion for the next time you need it.
We’d love to hear from you… share your favorite freezing techniques in the comments below.
