Freezing Your FREE Homegrown Green Onions

Wondering what to do with the green onions we grew from onion stumps earlier this winter? Freeze them!

  1. Chop green onions to desired size.
  2. Soak/Rinse stumps in water to remove dirt and prepare to be replanted.
  3. Put chopped onions into an empty water bottle & freeze OR put into an ice cube tray with a little olive oil & freeze in portioned cubes for cooking.
Now you’re ready to regrow more FREE produce & you’ve stored fresh green onion for the next time you need it.
We’d love to hear from you… share your favorite freezing techniques in the comments below.
